Meet Ania Pilipenko; co-founder of the Holzmarkt project. Since 2013 she has been the chair of the Cooperative for Urban Creativity, which involves investors and philanthropists in the development and construction of the Holzmarkt village in Berlin.
She will be presenting Holzmarkt, a community-led alternative development project in Berlin, featured in The Guardian as a case study for how a city can ‘grow up without losing its soul’.
She is co-initiator of re:kreators, the European network of city makers, and founder of the Players of Change conference, a platform to represent and support creative urban projects and sustainable ideas for city spaces in Berlin. Ania will be also speaking at the Festival of the Future City in Bristol on Thursday 17th October.
