SVA is filled to the brim with artistic activity throughout the year; providing cultural experiences and opportunities to enjoy contemporary art, experimental music and performance events. We support artists and the community, and we would love to carry on doing this.

• You get a fantastic arts centre in the middle of Stroud that is filled to the brim with artistic activity throughout the year.

• If you are new to the area or want to get better acquainted with like-minded people then SVA’s social events like the regular jazz nights, social clubs and club nights are a great way to do this.

• If you are looking for more exciting cultural experiences then SVA offers a great opportunity to enjoy contemporary art, experimental music and performance events.

• If you are under 21 then we have lots of opportunities for you to get involved with our youth led arts events.

As an artist

• On top of all the other benefits listed, Artist members can have their images, links and contact details on SVA’s online artist directory.

• Join the Artists’ Google News Group, for news and opportunities from other local artists.

• More opportunities to exhibit or perform, as we offer chances for networking, through the Friday morning Artist Hubs, and many other events.

• You’ll be the first to hear about studio spaces and project spaces. SVA is a multidimensional ‘space’ provider which includes studio, project, exhibition and event spaces.  We have studio, project, exhibition and event space at John St and The Goods Shed.
