Stroud and its surroundings have a great range of jazz players. This night is for their coming together, and tonight features Kevin Figes on sax - the absolutely bebop-tious groove-dispensing Kevin Figes who has has guested at our jam more times than any other.
Kevin is a toweringly fine saxophonist from Bristol, appearing prolifically with his Quartet or Octet and now directing Underscore, a funky-beaty 70s-bliss-out at Bristol Southbank on 26 Oct. Kevin’s playing soars and dives and always entertains. It’s a delight to have him back!
Kevin's opening performance will be followed by our usual energeti-frenetic jam for all-comers to play, sing, or listen.
Second Thursday of every month at SVA.
