Playground is Stroud’s new festival of play aimed at children but inclusive of adults, with activities, workshops and entertainment spread across two days in two locations.
Saturday 13 July : 11am - 6pm
Bank Gardens + St Lawrence Church in Stroud
Head to Bank Gardens in the centre of Stroud on Saturday for Silly Science workshops, APE project's Water Play, Access Bikes' pedal-powered smoothie maker, plus live music from amazing performers. Mini Morris, Paper Jungle and Sound Scape will also be putting on performances and interactive shows at St Laurence Church.
Plus a fantastic procession at 11am from Bank Gardens and a picnic competition for the best picnic spread and arty hamper!
Sunday 14 July : 10am-6pm
The Goods Shed
On Sunday head to the Goods Shed for a day of interactive fun, behind the Stroud Train Station. The Arty Brum Booty art car boot sale will be in full swing outside the Goods Shed. There will also be Den City; a community-made city made of a mass of cardboard dens.
Plus two Disco Nature shows; DiscoNature is an interactive live show combining natural science, comedy, music, dance and games, developed in collaboration between musician Josef Reeve aka JoeisElvis and Kaoru Blackstone from Wild Things.
