The second of the Playback spatial audio experiences presented by LOSS«»GAIN, a new immersive listening collaboration between sound designer David Sheppard (Mira Calix, ENO) and music industry veteran John Best (Sigur Rós).
Using the ground-breaking surround-sound system Soundscape, developed by d&b audiotechnik, this event brings the London Contemporary Orchestra’s latest show to Stroud.
Recorded at Queen Elizabeth Hall in January, and presented with reactive visuals from the orchestra’s recent experimentation with artificial intelligence, the programme features a new work for strings by Ryan Lee West (aka electronic producer Rival Consoles), Michael Gordon’s otherworldly piece Rushes and a piece for organ by Claire M Singer.
