Culture Reset Stroud #9 - 'Art and Labour'
This Culture Reset session will explore connections between art-making and other forms of skilful work whilst seeking to establish an equitable and fruitful dialogue between diverse fields of production.
#CultureResetStroud Mondays - Pod Sessions
Small groups are invited to meet at Atelier, SVA and Stroud College to listen to inspirational provocations by international ‘Culture Reset’ arts activists, leaders and thinkers.
We are inviting three groups of six people to meet at SVA, Atelier Stroud and Stroud college (your location assigned upon booking). There will be two pods for each session - one at SVA and one at Atelier Stroud. Each pod will take part in a #CultureResetStroud listening session and link up with the other pod to continue the discussion from a more local perspective.
You can also choose to join on Zoom from home. Each session will last approx. 1.5 hours.
Agenda:
- Introduction to session by Paul Harper
- Practical examples: Plasterboard art - Simon Packard and David Quinton in conversation with Paul Harper and students from Stroud College
- A poet on your ward - Uta Baldauf (artist and student nurse)
- Pods discuss conversations. Discussion facilitated by two questions from the two guest artists.
- Pods come together and share main points from pods.
- Goodbye by Katharina (around 9pm)
