Sigur Rós ‘Sleep’ 360° soundbath (Free) : IF Festival

  • The Goods Shed Station Approach, Stroud Glos United Kingdom (map)

IF - Immersive Fields is a brand new festival working with artists to create fully spatialised audio-visual installations - live and pre-recorded - taking the audience inside the music, bathed in sound and light.

“When I was managing Sigur Ros we originally did it (‘Sleep’ soundbath) as an exclusive for the mega meditation app Calm and then rolled it as a live soundbath in Hyde Park as part of British Summertime festival, but this will be the first time it will be heard in spatial audio anywhere in the world. It takes a lot of the already other worldly aspects of Sigur Ros’s alien landscapes and then slows them right down till you can drown in the canyons of sound…or something” - John Best, former manager of Sigur Rós, Jónsi, James Canty and Cat's Eyes, and founder of Big Dipper Productions, an artist management company based in London.
