Mega Mega is a residency of collaborating artists marking the beginning of a fresh look at the relationships between fashion, textiles and contemporary art practice.

Here we see the launch of a new radical Textile and Fashion festival for Stroud exploring the innovative explorations of artists pushing the bounderies of this medium that is rooted in Stroud via its textile heritage. Don’t expect anything of the Cotswold familiar!

Making its debut at this year’s Site Festival, Mega Mega marked the beginning of a fresh look at the relationships between fashion, textiles and contemporary art practice. The collaborative residency, curated by Moina Moin, saw the launch of a new radical Textile and Fashion festival for Stroud. Within it, innovative explorations pushing the boundaries of a medium deeply rooted in Stroud’s textile heritage. The event included animated sculpture, film, fashion and performance.
