We would like to invite all the SVA members to take part in an exciting Christmas Taster Show in the gallery and online in December. As we sadly missed Open Studios this year we wanted to offer this opportunity for artists to sell work in the John St Gallery and also online. Covid 19 and Lockdown has had a big impact on many artists finances so we hope that this initiative will help a little to bring some extra income in at Christmas.
We are also setting up an online art shop with a piece of work by each artist participating in this Christmas Show. The gallery show will be a tempting taster for all your other artwork online that is available to buy. The online shop will be open to all members to use as a sales platform and additional works can be submitted throughout the year.
Artist can submit one piece each, original artworks can cover the shop walls, handmade ornaments are perfect on the shop table and make great stocking fillers. Sculptures also welcome. We will reserve the right to not show work if we feel the quality adversely affects the artistic intention of the exhibition as a whole or the content, materials or structure cause offence or harm to anyone.
If you have a particularly large or unusual piece of work we ask that you get in touch with Briony by email here at the earliest possible opportunity in order to consider the logistics of including it in the show.
