Bristol based Jonny Bruce is one of the most in demand trumpet players on the scene today. Working as both a soloist and a lead player in a variety of musical contexts, Jonny has received much critical acclaim for his fiery trumpet work.
From Bobby Shew, Fred Wesley and Pee Wee Ellis to Kelis and Illa J, his trumpet has seen him perform at venues from Ronnie Scott's to the Royal Albert Hall and festivals across Europe with many greats from a variety of genres. Aside from his big band and small group work, he is a passionate educator, the Musical Director of the Bristol Community Big Band, and his trumpet has recently been featured on the BBC drama series The Outlaws.

The jam is hosted by Stroud Jazz Collective and Stroud Valleys Artspace and has been born out of the former Stroud Jazz Sessions, celebrated for over a decade in Stroud.
