Seasoning: Palestine Solidarity Fundraiser

  • Stroud Valleys Artspace 4 John Street Stroud United Kingdom (map)

Saturday 2nd November 8pm-2am

Marking one year since the slaughter of Palestinians entered this grim phase, charged with genocide at the ICJ. We are gathering in solidarity to raise funds for Palestinian charities and advocates delivering on-the-ground impact and advocacy for Palestinian freedom and safety.

Seasoning invite Sarra Wild and Loefah to join resident YouYou for a night of cutting-edge bass music to raise funds for Palestine. Loefah, cofounder of the legendary dubstep institution DMZ alongside Coki and Mala, Swamp81 label-head helped pioneer dubstep and has come to define the post-dubstep sound with low-end focussed releases experimenting with rhythm and charting a new generation of transatlantic collaborations with the likes of Teklife.

Sarra Wild heads-up Glasgow's legendary OH141 nights - home to eclectic, bass-forward slections contributing to the city's thriving queer, minority-led underground scene. Her sets can't be pinned down or defined by a single genre, but centre a global and expansive interpretation of techno that may stray north into jungle, dubstep, arab pop - the only guarantee is it will be a thumping, bass-laden journey. Touted as One to Watch by Mixmag in 2024 Wild has been an inspiring example of the role of artists in standing against oppression as unwavering voice for Palestinian liberation within the dance music community. Roots, the old skool, the future, the unknown - one night together in Stroud. In solidarity for a free Palestine.

YouYou has accompanied Seasoning from the very beginning, first playing at our Kurdish fundraiser after devastating earthquakes hit the region. Since then her eclectic techno-infused explorations of electro, post-dubstep, and percussive house have been a hallmark of our sound - expect to hear emotive transgressions through dub techno and charged breaks in the special coming together, in solidarity.
