Stroud Theatre Festival: Duncan Bonner - Mr Bonner's Shorts

  • SVA 4 John Street Stroud, England, GL5 2HA United Kingdom (map)

The Stroud Theatre Festival returns for its 10th anniversary from 16th-18th September.

Duncan Bonner - Mr Bonner's Shorts

Two different stories told in very different styles about two very different characters. What they have in common is that they are very well-written and are both laugh-out loud funny, moving, and thought-provoking. And they are a real pleasure to perform.

The Pottery Class
Gerald needs a hobby. Senior Management says so. They are very clear about it. And if Gerald is ever going to get back in their good books after what happened, he’d better do what they say.
But what hobby to choose? Wine tasting? Probably not, after last year’s upset. Pottery, though? They do it at the local college. Yes, that’s it – pottery! What could possibly go wrong…..

Karaoke for One
‘There’s a Guy Works Down the Chip Shop Swears He’s Elvis’. Great song. Kirsty MacColl, 1981. Dave doesn’t think he’s Elvis. He doesn’t work in a chip shop either. Sandra reckons he does need help, though. She’s probably right.
Anyway, in the words of The King himself, ‘…I am sure that the answers gonna come somehow…’. Dave reckons he’ll be alright if he just keeps singing.

‘You sent us all on an amazing journey. I felt every emotion possible’
‘Brilliant hour of quality theatre- go!’
