Future Ideas- Creative Sustainability CIC and Stand + Stare

Creative Sustainability CIC and the Centre for Sociodigital Futures at the University of Bristol have been working together for several months with two communities in Stroud Town to consider their ideas and feelings about connection, technologies and preferable futures. This involves contemplating how technologies might impact on connection, social and digital lives.

Stand + Stare joined the Future Ideas project in January and have been working with the groups at Top of Town Community Hub and Uplands Independent Living to develop and visualise their ideas through hands-on crafting with recycled materials, AI image generation and Augmented Reality. Stand + Stare is an interactive design studio, based at SVA, Stroud. Led by brother and sister, Barney Heywood and Lucy Telling, they blend digital and physical experiences to tell stories that connect people.
