Owen McNeir

Owen McNeir is a strategic and operational leader with over 25 years’ experience in the arts and cultural sector, spanning fundraising, brand development and audience engagement. As a consultant and mentor, he has worked with a wide range of organisations - from independent theatre companies to national heritage bodies - supporting them with business planning, income generation, marketing, and communications. He works with clients across the UK, and locally with Hawkwood Centre for Future Thinking where he leads on marketing, communications and sales strategy.  

Owen’s career includes senior roles at Bath Festivals and Cheltenham Festivals, where he led on fundraising, marketing, and membership, securing major grants, sponsorships, and high-value patronage. 

With a background in drama, and a strong commitment to community engagement, Owen brings a creative and strategic perspective to his work. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a member of both the Chartered Institute of Fundraising and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
