What would our communities be like if art and culture were centre stage? This is the question we are on a mission to understand at Create Gloucestershire - having lived in Gloucestershire for over 20 years this is as much personal as it is professional. I run PIP Creatives, a consultancy which specialises in innovation and particularly the collaborative partnerships vital to sustain meaningful change. This brings together skills and networks from a range of previous jobs in housing, regeneration and education. My focus on the arts and culture emerged during my time as CEO of the Creative Youth Network in Bristol. I am on the Board of the Arts Council SW region which provides a useful overview of the sector and ongoing reminder of the daily challenges of making creative work - collaboration is the only way forward.
