On Sunday afternoon we welcome three musicians deeply embedded in Bristol’s music scene, all with their own projects but arriving in St Laurence church as one collective of sonic explorers.
Tiny Chapter, t l k & STANLÆY, coalesce for a special performance of music-as-landscape. Kaleidoscopic soundscapes evolve, decay and re-form through a vast and undulating synthesis of electronics, harp, voice & electric guitar.
Tiny Chapter is the alias of Bristol based composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Alun Elliott-Williams. Having developed a reputation for himself as the virtuoso guitarist and pedalboard brain-box of heavy electronic outfit Waldo’s Gift, Tiny Chapter made waves with his debut vocal performance in ‘The Gift’: a collaboration with south-west heavyweights Ishmael Ensemble on their 2021 album Vision of Light.
t l k is an independent producer, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist and collaborator based in Bristol (UK). Shaped by Bristol’s live improvisation scene and manifested in her introverted moments, t l k creates immersive landscapes to better understand the worlds in which we swim. Blending intricate vocal layers, analogue synthesis, percussive textures and field recordings, t l k's characteristically ethereal sound world and vocal vulnerability have allowed her to be recognised as a strong emerging force in the Bristol music scene.
