sm^sher is the moniker of Stroud based artist and producer Imogen Mason. With her debut album set for release later this year on unruly London label Scrawl, sm^sher's sonic world is impulsive, visceral and tapestried; weaving meditations on memory, grief, addiction, introversion and hope around industrial soundscape, fractured beats, drone-backed folk song and collage.
Lara Jones
Lara makes thrillingly disconcerting music - a dizzying mix of accessible and avant-garde sounds with edgy, powerful production. She creates otherworldly sounds through an alchemical combination of effects and synths in Ableton Live, cleverly weaving together, feedback, swirling distorted keys and ever-evolving soundscapes. It’s these qualities that she’s conjured up on this startling home-produced set as she pours her life and surroundings into these highly emotive tracks.
